## Remove an unwanted image from a PDF

Use a visual selection around the image, then delete the lifted object. The editor keeps a mask over its original position and lets you undo the change until export.

## Steps

1. **Find the image** — Open the relevant PDF page and choose Edit image.
2. **Lift and delete** — Drag around the image, select the lifted object and choose Delete.
3. **Inspect the page** — Review the cleaned area, undo if necessary and export the edited PDF.

### Can I remove a background image from a PDF?

You can remove a selected rectangular image region. Large or irregular page backgrounds may require several precise selections.

### Is the image removed from the original file?
